What The World Needs Now Is Love

 

God Wants His world back. What will that take? It will take all of us becoming LOVE.

New Testament accounts

"Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" He said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. ' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. ... By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of ...

If you want to find greater Joy, (Jesus, Others, You) fall in love with Jesus; the Source of everlasting love.

In the words of Deanna G Bartalini, in her book, "Stay Connected", where she invites us to invite the Holy Spirit into your life... which will allow you to grow in love, joy, peace patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control...

"Love, Lord is what we all seek. We might even think we can earn it, but we cannot. Your love is our ultimate example of what is true and perfect. Thank you for the love you  have shown me in creating me, in giving your Son  guide me, Holy Spirit, to be of service to those in need.

I ask for all of this, trusting in your love, to me, and in sending your Holy Spirit to me. You are selfless, only wanting my good. That is the love that I need and that this world needs--a love where the other is put first.

Teach me to have a love that seeks the good of others and does not look for a reward. Fill me with love like yours, and I ask for the courage to share it with others--not only with those whom I know and love but also with those that are difficult to love.

I ask for the grace to bring love to all those that come into my life. The fruit of a life well spent in service to others is love; guide me Holy Spirit, to be of service to those in need. I ask for all of this, trusting in your love, through your Son and the Spirit.  Amen"

You may be saying, "How did this get here"

As I was watching the Capitol Fourth on KERA, Our Public Broadcasting Station in the Dallas/Fort Worth market, Gladys Knight and the Pips preformed this song and the lyrics are still in my head.

Especially, To a simpler place and time, oh yes, he is (whenever he takes that ride)

What could be a simpler place and time than being totally with Jesus as the center of your life as the predominant force in your life. It can truly give you a peace beyond explanation. Just think, anytime something goes different than you planed, God had a better idea. And doing things his way always brings a blessing.

The blessing can be as simple as God got your attention. You stayed in a peaceful mode. Your ability to be patience was strengthened. And hopefully you said Thank you Jesus.

And then there is the line, "I'd rather live in His world Than live without Him in mine. We should all strive to live in Jesus world. It really is much better... Jesus is a very solid rock to lean on... and if we are striving to Get To Heaven... It's the only place to be...

Taking it back to the real basics... Why did God create you... "God made me (you) to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him forever in the next." There  is no way we are able to do this if we are not in His World. Which means He is the Center of our lives.

We have to replace our ego (edging God out) with puting God in the center of everything. Think about this... God is Love... so if we were to become like Jesus... We would become Love...

God is the Supreme Being, infinitely perfect, who made all things and keeps them in existence.

Spend some time thinking about that... If God were to leave you for a second... you would sease to exist... Jesus is standing at the door of your heart... knocking, hoping and praying that you will wake up and let Him in so He can fill you with His Love, Peace and Understanding.

God made us to show forth His goodness and to share with us His everlasting happiness in heaven.

What must we do to gain the happiness of heaven?

To gain the happiness of heaven we must know, love, and serve God in this world.

Lay not up to yourselves treasures on earth; where the rust and moth consume and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up to yourselves treasures in heaven; where neither the rust nor moth doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. (Matthew 6:19-20)

From whom do we learn to know, love, and serve God?

We learn to know, love, and serve God from Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who teaches us through the Catholic Church.

I have come a light into the world that whoever believes in Me may not remain in darkness. (John 12:46)

As for me... I truly wish to live in His world than live without Him in mine... I truly hope and pray that you will see the light and do the same... Peace, Love and Joy await you in this world and especially in Heaven, where you will spend eternity with God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit and all the Saints and Angels... Where Joy abounds and LOVE is the order of the day...
